The 3rd Plenary Meeting of the PLIADES project took place from 19th to 21st November 2024 in Graz, Austria, and was hosted by AVL. This critical gathering of partners marked an important moment for the project’s development as it nears its 12th-month milestone.
The meeting brought together over 50 project members from 27 partner organisations across Europe. Notably, 42 participants attended physically, while others joined remotely, ensuring wide representation and active engagement. The hybrid format facilitated in-depth discussions on key work packages, action points, and the upcoming deliverables.
The project coordinator, Dr Dimitrios Giakoumis (CERTH), opened the event with a review of project achievements to date and a roadmap for the next phase. Key highlights included:
- Progress Updates: All work package leaders shared updates on the status of ongoing tasks, achievements, and upcoming deliverables.
- Technical Workshops: In-depth sessions on use cases provided an opportunity for partners to align their approaches on data flow integration and technical testing strategies.
- Interactive Hackathon: A highlight of the event was the WP4 Hackathon, led by Energy@Work, CEIT and TNO, enabling participants to collaborate on IDS RAM and connector development- a true testament to innovation and teamwork
- Action Points: Clear next steps were agreed upon, including the finalisation of governance frameworks, submission of deliverables, and enhanced partner engagement in specific technical areas.
These intensive three days provided a platform for knowledge sharing, technical alignment, and collaborative problem-solving. Partners also had the chance to tour AVL’s facilities, providing valuable insight into the role AVL plays in the project.
As the PLIADES project progresses, the focus remains on delivering high-impact results, supporting the development of AI-enabled data spaces that facilitate sustainable and green data management.
